Motion Simulator

ACUTRONIC is the world leader in the development, design and manufacture of precision motion simulators for the aeronautics, space, defense, automotive and consumer industries. Motion simulators are used for testing and calibration of inertial sensors (e.g. gyroscopes and accelerometers), Inertial Navigation Systems, stabilized optronic systems, Electronic Stability Control systems as well as for simulating flight motion of missiles.

Our product range extends from small, single-axis rate tables for the automotive industry, through three-axis motion simulators for flight motion profiling, up to five-axis Flight Motion Simulator (FMS) for the defense industry.

Defense

The defense market’s requirement for inertial sensors, and hence motion simulators, continues to grow with a diverse range of applications. Armed forces continue to demand higher performance from Inertial Navigation Systems (air, land and sea) but also need lower-cost sensors suitable for precision munitions (guided rockets, artillery rounds, etc.) Development, testing, calibration, and servicing of such systems can be accomplished using ACUTRONIC Inertial Guidance Testing Systems (IGTS) that are able to realistically simulate motions in up to three axes simultaneously. Such systems are also suitable for testing of optronic equipment (EOTS), such as pointing devices.

The use of HardWare-In-the-Loop (HWIL) motion simulators during development programs can help reduce time and cost, by minimizing the number of field trials required. The ACUTRONIC portfolio of products suitable for that purpose includes motion simulators with up to five axes. This provides target simulation in two axes, plus three-degrees-of-freedom motion simulation for the unit under test. Further products adapted to this purpose are Target Motion Simulators (TMS) or Dual Target Motion Simulators (DTMS).

This Rate Table is suitable for testing of medium-sized Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs) or Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS) sensors.

5-Axis Flight Motion Simulator HD55H-T35-50
This model is a precision high dynamic 3-Axis Flight Motion Simulator (FMS) combined with a 2-Axis Target Motion Simulator (TMS). The system is specifically designed for the Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) testing and evaluation of high performance Infra-Red / Electro-Optical missile systems and sensors.

Automotive

The automotive industry’s drive to enhance car safety has led to the development of many different safety systems, ranging from airbags to Electronic Stability Control (ESC) systems, all of which use inertial sensors. For example an ESC system may use as many as two rate sensors (yaw and roll) and one accelerometer (lateral movement).

ACUTRONIC’s range of test equipment not only enables automotive engineers to develop these safety systems, but also allows cost-effective testing and calibration during production. One-axis motion simulators and centrifuges have typically been used to date, but the advent of multi-axis sensors packaged in one chip now calls for two- and three-axis Inertial Guidance Test Systems (IGTS).

These single-axis rate tables are intended for use during development, production, in-process testing, calibration and final inspection of inertial components, instruments and MEMS sensors. The product was designed with emphasis on easy use by customers and economic pricing.

2-Axis Rate Table Series AC2247-TC
This rate and position table is suitable for simultaneous performance testing of several medium-sized Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs) or Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS) sensors under differing environmental conditions.
